Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Call for Projects

TAP CALL FOR PROJECTS

The Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization has initiated a call for projects under the Transportation Alternatives Program for Urbanized Areas (TAP-U). The Transportation Alternatives Program provides funding for on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, and community improvement activities.

The OahuMPO Policy Committee approved the TAP guide on May 19, 2015 and $800,000 in FHWA obligation authority is available for TAP-U in FFY 2016. The full OahuMPO Transportation Alternatives Program Guide for Sponsors and Applicants along with TAP applications can be downloaded at https://www.oahumpo.org/plans-and-programs/transportation-alternatives-program/. Eligible project sponsors or not-for-profit organizations in partnership with an eligible sponsor may submit their applications to be evaluated according to the timeline below. Please provide your TAP applications by October 26, 2015.
