The Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OahuMPO) will be holding a series of public listening sessions so that you can tell us exactly what to do with traffic congestion, and any other transportation headache you have. No really. We want to hear from you – all of your complaints and your ideas for fixing them. We may be transportation planners, but let’s be honest, we can’t drive every road, or ride every bus, or walk every sidewalk, or cruise every bike path, so we need your help to identify existing transportation problems.
Every five years, OahuMPO writes the transportation plan for Oahu. Among other things, the plan establishes the vision for future transportation on our island home. These listening sessions are one opportunity for you to impact that future – sort of like leaving a legacy. The meetings are open-house, talk-story style, so you can show up at any time and speak one-on-one with a staff member from OahuMPO. There’s no boring PowerPoint show to sit through. (We dislike giving those as much as you dislike listening to them.) Besides, the whole point is for us to listen to you.
