Policy Board Role
The Policy Board is the decision-making body of the OahuMPO. It determines the direction of the OahuMPO effort, considers and approves transportation planning issues, and makes the final approval for OahuMPO matters.
Meetings
Policy Board meetings are scheduled as needed. Meeting notices are posted on the OahuMPO website as well as on the Hawaii State Calendar of Events.

Members
The voting membership of this body consists of two State Senators; two State Representatives; three City Councilmembers; the HDOT Director; the DTS Director; the DPP Director, and the HART Director. The non-voting members of the Policy Board include the Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration Hawaii Division Office, the Director of the State Department of Health, and the Director of the State Office of Planning.

The City and County of Honolulu is using the OahuMPO Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) public involvement process, as outlined in the Federal Highway Administration/Federal Transit Administration metropolitan transportation planning regulations (23 CFR 450/49 CFR 613), to satisfy the public hearing requirements for the Federal Transit Administration’s Urbanized Area Formula Program (49 U.S.C.
