Public Participation Plan

The Public Participation Plan (PPP) is a Federal requirement for all metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs). More importantly, it ensures the public is given ample opportunity to access, review, and comment on plans, studies, and other documents as they are being developed. The Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OahuMPO) PPP helps members of the public and affected organizations understand the OahuMPO transportation plan development process for major planning products (e.g., the Oahu Regional Transportation Plan, the Overall Work Program, and the Transportation Improvement Program), and how to participate effectively in the process. The procedures outlined in the PPP will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary to ensure a full and open participation process.
