The TAC provides the technical input to OahuMPO’s planning process. The TAC provides technical advice to the Policy Board and the OahuMPO Executive Director on technical matters and insures the technical competence of the planning process.
Meetings of the TAC are convened as needed. All meeting notices are posted on the OahuMPO website as well as the State of Hawaii Calendar of Events.

The TAC membership consists of ten (10) voting members and six (6) non-voting members. The voting members include two (2) staff representatives each from the State Department of Transportation (HDOT), the City Department of Transportation Services (DTS), the City Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) and the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART); and one (1) staff representative each from the State Office of Planning and the State Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism. The non-voting members include one (1) staff representative each from the City Department of Design and Construction, the City Department of Facilities Maintenance, the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Transit Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration; and a representative of the Hawaii Transportation Association.
The City and County of Honolulu is using the OahuMPO Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) public involvement process, as outlined in the Federal Highway Administration/Federal Transit Administration metropolitan transportation planning regulations (23 CFR 450/49 CFR 613), to satisfy the public hearing requirements for the Federal Transit Administration’s Urbanized Area Formula Program (49 U.S.C. Section 5307) program-of-projects.)
