    The Transportation Enhancement Program Draft List of Prioritized Projects was approved by the Policy Committee.

    An Evaluation Panel, consisting of members of the OahuMPO's Citizen Advisory Committee and representatives from the OahuMPO's participating agencies, prioritized eligible Oahu enhancement project proposals. The draft prioritized list is available for public review. Comments on the draft list can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the OahuMPO office no later than April 30, 2007.

    Next Steps :

    Comments received on the list will be summarized and presented to the Policy Committee for their consideration.  After Policy Committee action, the finalized prioritized list of projects will be forwarded to the Hawaii Department of Transportation during their statewide call for Transportation Enhancement Projects.

    The Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OahuMPO) is soliciting project proposals as part of the Transportation Enhancement Program for Oahu. Attached is an application and directions for submitting project proposals. CAC member organizations and others interested in transportation planning are encouraged to submit proposals for enhancement projects that meet the requirements of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) transportation enhancement program. The deadline for proposal submittals is Friday, March 2, 2007. Proposals may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to the OahuMPO at:

    Next Steps

    The OahuMPO, in cooperation with the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) and the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS), with participation by the Federal Highway Administration, will determine which project proposals are eligible for transportation enhancement funding. The OahuMPO will then prioritize eligible projects and forward the prioritized list to HDOT. Funding of the prioritized transportation enhancement projects will be determined through the HDOT Transportation Enhancement Program, the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, and the OahuMPO Transportation Improvement Program.
